Privacy Policy

GalapagoGTM is a service operated by Galapago Ventures LLC ("Galapago," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit galapago.io (the "Site") or contact us.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the diagnostic form or contact us, we collect the details you provide — which may include your name, company, work email, LinkedIn profile, stage of company, monthly revenue, average ticket size, a description of your challenge, and your WhatsApp number — as well as the content of any messages you send us by WhatsApp or email.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our partners may automatically collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring source, and interactions with the Site. We collect this through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies — including the OpenAI Ads pixel and other advertising and analytics technologies we may add over time.

3. How we use your information

• Respond to your inquiry and run your diagnostic.
• Provide, operate, and improve our services and the Site.
• Communicate with you about your request and our work together.
• Measure, attribute, and optimize our marketing and advertising.
• Maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (including advertising and analytics pixels) to operate the Site, understand usage, and measure advertising performance. The Site currently uses the OpenAI Ads pixel, and we may add additional advertising or analytics providers in the future. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where supported we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal.

5. How and with whom we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with:

• Service providers / processors who help us operate the Site and business.
• Advertising and analytics partners (such as OpenAI) to measure and optimize advertising. Sharing personal information with advertising partners through pixels may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some laws; you may opt out as described in Section 7.
• Communication tools such as WhatsApp/Meta when you choose to contact us through them.
• Hosting infrastructure (the Site is hosted on GitHub Pages).
• Legal and safety recipients where required by law, or in connection with a business transfer.

6. Third-party services

Some third parties we rely on — including OpenAI (OpenAI Ads), WhatsApp/Meta, and GitHub (hosting), along with any analytics or advertising providers we add — process information under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. To exercise any of them, contact us at bernardo@galapago.io. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Everyone

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can opt out of marketing messages at any time.

United States (including California — CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know/access, delete, and correct their personal information; to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to non-discrimination. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Mexico (LFPDPPP)

If you are in Mexico, you have ARCO rights — Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Opposition — and the right to revoke your consent or limit the use or disclosure of your data. See the Spanish-language Aviso de Privacidad for the full notice.

European Economic Area / United Kingdom (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Our legal bases are your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and promoting our business, and the performance of a contract. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law, after which we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion at any time.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
